 Alley Cropping Field

These experimental fields are alley cropping which is situated adjacent to our central playground. All the trees are nitrogenous and fix atmospheric nitrogen in their root nodule , leaves and other parts of plants in that field.After 30 to 45 days interval these trees are heavily pruned and incorporated into the soil which enrich soil fertility and organic matter content of soil.In between two rows leguminous crops , some short-term crops are  planted . Alley cropping  is very much effective especially in hilly areas and  in drought areas in  Bangladesh .

Annola based  agroforestry :

This is annola based  agroforestry experimental field. In this field  in between two rows of annola trees  , short-term crops are planted .It is very  effective  for the utilization of   space  during few  first years of establishment . We can economically benefited from such kind  agroforestry system year round. we can get  fruits and vegetables simultaneously  from this field .

Pineapple based agroforestry :

Pineapple based agroforestry 

This is pineapple based agroforestry experimental field . In between two rows of  jackfruit trees , pineapple are planted . It is also highly effective  for the utilization space  during early growth of establishment  of jackfruit trees . It is multicropping system agroforestry. It is conducted  to know the effectiveness of space utilization and economic condion of the land in our country .

This another experimental field which is olive based  .It is usually  applicable in the hilly and southern part of Bagladesh .There are some cucurbit crops are planted  in between  trees of guava rows . It is very much effective  for utilization  of spaec especially in Bangladesh . It has great possibility to apply in Bangladesh .

This is ber based agroforestry field . In between two rows of ber plants various cucurbit crops are planted . It is concluded  from that experiment , this system is applicable arocss the country .  It supply nutrient to the soil . This system is very economic and proper utilization of land is possible .

 Seedbed of agroforestry trees

 Seedbed of agroforestry trees:

 This is raised seed bed  which is under agroforestry department . Some mango seedlings are raised there.The Boundary of that seed bed is made by concrete .

Jackfruit based agroforestry

Jackfruit based agroforestry :

This experimental field is jackfruit based agroforestry . This is conducted by our expert teacher Pro. Dr. Md. Giasuddin Miah . Shade loving crops are planted  in between jackfruit trees .
This system is benificial in our country .







 

 Guava based agroforestry

 Guava based agroforestry :

This is  guava based  agroforestry field lab.  Guava based agroforestry is very effective around the Bangladesh .This system increases soil fertility and microbial activities . Some shade loving crops are planted in between rows of guava trees .

Mango based agroforestry 

Mango based agroforestry :

This  field is  mango based agroforestry .In between  two rows of mango trees some cucurbit crops are planted . This system is highly effective in northen region  in our country .
